History

 Today, our history teacher invites Madam Sangeeta Subba as guest speaker, so in that madam taught us human evolution and there types with examples. 

Lesson that I learned from today's session is, I know that how humans are form, through processes. And different types of human evolution.



Today we had learned about formation of government systems and also about political parties, so sir gave us notes in printed form and also gave us notes on writing in whiteboard.

Lessons that I learned from today's session is, that in our country we have 5 parties and one of the party will rule our country for 5 years. 


Like yesterday we learned that elections and its types.



Understanding Religion

1. What is Religion?

  • A system of beliefs and practices related to spirituality and moral values.

  • Often involves worship of a higher power or god(s).

  • Provides answers to life’s big questions like: Why are we here? What happens after death? What is right and wrong?

2. Major World Religions:

  • Christianity — Belief in Jesus Christ, Bible as holy text.

  • Islam — Belief in Allah, Quran as holy text.

  • Judaism — Belief in one God, Torah as holy text.

  • Hinduism — Belief in many gods, karma and reincarnation.

  • Buddhism — Focus on enlightenment and the Four Noble Truths.

  • Other religions — Sikhism, Jainism, Indigenous religions, etc.

3. Elements of Religion:

  • Beliefs: What followers believe about gods, creation, life, and afterlife.

  • Practices: Rituals, prayers, festivals, and ceremonies.

  • Sacred Texts: Holy books or stories that guide followers.

  • Places of Worship: Churches, mosques, temples, synagogues, etc.

  • Moral Code: Rules or commandments for how to live.

  • 4. Why Study Religion?

    • Understand cultural diversity.

    • Promote respect and tolerance.

    • Learn about history and art influenced by religion.

    • Explore personal spirituality.

    5. Religion and Society:

    • Role of religion in laws and government.

    • Religion’s impact on holidays, customs, and traditions.

    • Conflicts and cooperation between different religious groups.
