Bless Rainy Day

 Bless Rainy Day  Usually celebrates on September 23 every year. 1. What is Blessed Rainy Day (Thrue-Bab)? Blessed Rainy Day is an important annual festival in Bhutan. It usually falls in September (7th month of the Bhutanese lunar calendar). The day marks the end of the monsoon season and the start of the harvesting season. 2. Cultural & Religious Significance According to Bhutanese belief, on this day the water becomes holy and pure, cleansing people of sins, bad deeds, and illnesses. The occasion is linked to astrological calculations and is considered highly auspicious. It is also a day of renewal, purification, and fresh beginnings. 3. Morning Rituals People wake up early to bathe in natural water sources (rivers, streams, lakes) or at home. This ritual is believed to wash away spiritual impurities and bring good luck.   International Day of Peace – Overview Date Observed: Every 21st of September Declared by: United Nations General Assembly Resolution: UN Resolution 36/67 (1981), revised by Resolution 55/282 (2001) Objective: To provide a globally shared date for all humanity to commit to peace above all differences and to contribute to building a culture of peace. History of International Peace Day 🔹 1981 – Creation The UN General Assembly, under Resolution 36/67, declared that the third Tuesday of September (opening day of the General Assembly) would be observed as International Day of Peace. 🔹 2001 – Fixed Date and Ceasefire UN Resolution 55/282, sponsored by Costa Rica and the United Kingdom, established September 21 as the permanent date. Reading week (Day 5)

 In the reading week, Day 5, teachers had planned to go a inter-class quiz competition, from classes 7-10, most of the participants had made great work.  Objectives: To test students’ knowledge in different subjects. To encourage critical thinking and quick recall. To develop confidence in answering questions. And also it was started with welcome speech by Chimi Tashi Sir.

Reading week (Day4)

 In the reading week, Day 4 we had done a book talk after school, with 6-7 participates in book talk and also, in the middle of that some primary students had read some book and also senior students has also. Which is mainly made that programs is to, book talks are important because they encourage reading habits, improve communication skills, promote critical thinking, and allow students to share knowledge with others. They also boost creativity and help build confidence while making reading more enjoyable. Also reading is very important because it helps us gain knowledge, improve our language, and strengthen our imagination. It keeps our minds active and sharp, just as exercise keeps our bodies healthy. As Joseph Addison said, “Reading is to the mind what exercise is to the body,” showing that reading is an essential habit for personal growth and success. Reading week (Day 3)

 In the reading week, day 3,  Our school recently organized an Inter-House Skit Competition with the aim of encouraging creativity, teamwork, and confidence among students. Each house presented a short skit based on different themes such as social issues, moral values, and everyday life situations. It starts with welcome speech by class 8 student. The participants performed with great enthusiasm, using expressive dialogues, costumes, and props to make their presentations lively and meaningful. The audience was entertained while also learning valuable lessons from the performances. The competition brought out the hidden talents of many students and created a healthy spirit of rivalry among the houses. Reading Week(Day 2)

 In reading week, day 2 teachers planned that there will be Dzongkha Skit Competition between classes 4-6. From that participates had done well. And also there class teacher had made them motivated to participate in different literature activities. And also participates had made us feel laugh, and also fun. 

Reading Week(Day 1)

 Reading Week is a special time celebrated in schools to encourage students to read more books and develop the habit of reading. It is usually observed in the first week of September in Bhutan. During this week, teachers, parents, and students come together to highlight the importance of reading in our daily lives. Reading not only improves our knowledge but also helps us to think creatively and understand the world better. In my school, Reading Week is marked with different activities like story reading, quiz competitions, and reading corners. We also get opportunities to share our favorite stories and books with friends. These activities make reading more fun and enjoyable, and they encourage everyone to spend more time with books instead of mobile phones or games.
